Infrared Aerial Photo (color)

Infrared areial photos are often very useful in observing the state and health of vegetation shown in the map, as well as bodies of water. The type of infrared imagery used is call infrared light; specifically located on the near-infrared part of the spectrum. This is an infrared aerial photo of the Susquehanna Water Gap passing through Blue Mountain. Looking at the photo one can see the red tones from fields, in which winter wheat is growing



On this date, the color-IR photo shows limited red tones from fields in which winter wheat is growing.
