A DRG map is short for digital raster graphic. This type of map is typically results from scanned topographic maps and is a digital image. Just as the DEM, it is created by the USGS and saved in the raster format (observed, recorded and saved in pixel or cell). This particular map is an image of a part of Michigan, in which the Kellogg Biological Station of Michigan University is located.
